Susie Hampson Home Going

Our dear sweet sister in the Lord, Susie Hampson, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening. Our hearts are saddened at the loss of a beautiful woman who blessed us in so many ways with her Christlike love for others and faithful service to our King. But we rejoice that she is now with her Lord and Savior, where every tear has been washed away, and she is now celebrating with him face to face in all His glory. Thank you, Father, for the precious gift of Susie.

2 Timothy 4:7-8—“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”

IBC Weekly Prayer Focus

This week, we will focus on the word “humility” from our “IBC Vision” verse of Ephesians 4:1-3. Pray that each one of us, as well as the Pastor Search Prayer team members, develop hearts of “humility” as we seek to walk worthy.

“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Yard Abatement/Scripture Memory-Hume Fundraising

If you are interested in having the youth perform yard abatement to help raise money for Hume Lake, please email Pastor Clint at clint@idyllwildbiblechurch.org to get your house on the list. Available yardwork days will be on the following Saturdays: April 18th, April 25th, and May 2nd.

If you cannot support in this way, we have an opportunity for youth to earn money towards camp through memorizing Scripture. We are giving the students a list of verses in which they can come to you individually, and you can pledge to sponsor them for each verse they learn, or you can give a flat donation that will be given out to the students who have taken the time to memorize the Scriptures. If you would like additional information on this or have any questions, see Pastor Clint. Thank you for supporting our students, and please continue to be in prayer for them and their trip to Hume.

2026 VBS Creative Team Needs YOU!

Just a reminder! If you’d like to help with creating the decor/props for 2026 VBS, a sign-up sheet is at the back of the sanctuary. This is a great way to support our kids in a “behind-the-scenes” kind of way. Bringing this building to life makes the delivery of His truths all the more impactful. We need this room to take the kids across continents to the countryside of Ireland! Please consider helping out!

2026 IBC Men’s Retreat Weekend

Men Of God, What is a Disciple of God? When: Friday, April 17th-Sunday, April 19th. Where: Lawler Lodge on Highway 243. There is a flyer and a sign-up sheet on the back table. For more details, see Wayne Clark or Scott Drake.

Open Arms Request for Socks

One of the needs that we often receive while ministering to those on the streets is the need for socks. If you have socks that are still in good shape, clean, and wish to donate them to Open Arms, or would wish to purchase socks, please see Wayne Clark. Thank you for helping us to love well the Lord places in our path.

Enlarging God’s Kingdom

Dave and Joan Ohlson

Wycliffe Bible Translators

Prayer & Financial Support

The Ohlsons are healthy after being with family at the end of the year and more recently visiting their daughter, Ruth, as well as Jon and Amy. They were in Southern California for Dave to attend Biola University’s Alumni event, as he graduated in 1971.

The Ohlsons continue to work on the review council for the First Nations Bible translation. Dave and Joan are both in their 80s and have committed to the work for as long as they are able. They are currently reviewing the last four chapters of Genesis. This will be released upon completion as the First Nations translation of the Pentateuch + the book of Joshua. It is expected to take 8 years for completion. One of the unique aspects of this project is the detailed translations of the genealogical names’ meanings as translated from the Hebrew. Software has been developed to insert that information each time the name appears in scripture. Many of the Old Testament names also appear in the New Testament. Prayer is requested for the whole team as they seek spiritual guidance in their work to faithfully and accurately translate the Bible into the First Nations Bible translation version.

Diane Dixon was able to take the translated portion of the First Nations Bible Translation with her to Australia and hand it out. God is a work in the world.
