IBC Weekly Prayer Focus
As we continue with our annual “Christmas in September” and our support of our missionaries, this week we will focus our prayers on Edwin and Evie Martinez and Dave and Joan Ohlson. Pray that the Lord would supply them with everything they need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus as they serve to reach people with the gospel.
Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Awana 2026-2027
Awana has officially started but if you are interested in volunteering as a helper, there is always a need for more help. Talk to Kelly or shoot her an email if you’d like to know more about this! kelly@idyllwildbiblechurch.org
IBC Youth Group Ice Skating Event!
The middle and high school youth are invited to go ice-skating on Saturday, September 19th. This will be a time of fun and fellowship, and we encourage the youth to invite their friends. The cost is $20 per person. We will meet at the church at 10:30 am and return around 6:00 pm. We will be stopping at In and Out on the way home, so bring money for that as well. Parents, please RSVP at idyllwildbiblechurch.org/rsvp/ or call the church office (951-659-4775) no later than September 15th to secure your spot.
Usher Team Meeting and Lunch
There will be a meeting for all those who serve as ushers at IBC on Sunday, September 20, following the 2nd service at 12:15. We will meet in the classroom at the end of the hall and lunch will be provided. Please contact Scott Drake or Don DePalma for further information.
2026 Christmas in September
Dear IBC Family, the time to celebrate is here! From now through Sunday, September 20th, a table will be set up in the parking lot as a place to come by and grab ornaments off a tree. Attached to each ornament is a ticket that will provide you with an opportunity to bless our missionaries and their families this Christmas. We call this event “Christmas in September,” it is a wonderful way to support and honor our missionaries. Thank you and God bless.
Angela Colson’s Going Away Party
Dear Church Family…. Set your calendars for September 27th at 1:00 for a going-away party for Angela Colson. She will be moving to Fellowship Square, a Christian Retirement Community in Phoenix, Arizona, to be closer to her son. The party will be held at the home of Wes and Debbie Rizor, 52940 Tollgate Road (951-659-4757.
Please bring either an appetizer, salad, or finger sandwiches to share with approximately 15 people. Paper goods, drinks, and dessert will be provided. Also, a card or note to Angela would be greatly appreciated to send her off with well wishes. A sign-up sheet will be in the back of the church. See you there!

Edwin & Evie Martinez
Prayer & Financial Support
Edwin and Evie Martinez are missionaries with OC International. We have supported them financially, in prayer, and by sending groups to Guatemala on short-term mission trips for over 30 years.
They live in Washington, and Edwin travels several times a year to Guatemala, where his father lives and most of his missionary work happens. His father just turned 108 this summer!
Edwin hosts groups to spread the gospel in Guatemala; he also does evangelistic meetings for women, has evangelistic concerts, and much, much more.
Edwin loves to host missions groups, and IBC has gone down with groups over the years. There may be an opportunity to go next summer. See Lori Rasmussen if that interests you.
Please pray for Edwin and Evie as they continue God’s work in Guatemala and around the world.
