IBC Weekly Prayer Focus
As the Pastor Search Team continues to look at applicants, let us pray over them, Ephesians 5:1-16, that they would make the best use of their time, finding balance in their many personal daily commitments to their work, their families, their walk with the Lord, and their work on the search team.
Ephesians 5:15-16: “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”
2026-2027 LIFE Groups
It’s that time of year again! Our 2026-2027 LIFE Groups are forming and sign-ups will run through the end of the month. Most LIFE Groups will start the week of September 6th.
Youth Life Group Kickoff at Camp Maranatha – Today!
All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for fun and fellowship as we start our 2026-2027 youth life group! We will meet at Camp Maranatha from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, a great outdoor spot for our gathering.
Please bring your Bible, swimsuit, and towel, as we have lots of fun activities planned for you! Enjoy a tasty BBQ, play games, swim in the pool, and take part in worship and a devotional that will inspire you. Don’t forget to save room for some tasty s’mores to wrap up our evening!
For clothing, girls are asked to avoid two-piece swimsuits. If you wear a two-piece, please cover it with a dark shirt. Guys should not wear Speedo swimsuits. Let’s make sure everyone is comfortable and has a great time at the pool!
Awana 2026-2027
Awana is less than two weeks away! Please take registration forms from the foyer for your children and/or for children you know who may be interested in joining us! Please bring registration forms to registration night, THIS Wednesday the 26th, between 4:30 & 6:00 pm.
Also, if you are interested in volunteering as an Awana helper, there is always a need for more help. Talk to Kelly or shoot her an email if you’d like to know more about this! kelly@idyllwildbiblechurch.org
2026 Baptisms
We will be holding baptisms at our Annual Church Under the Big Blue service. If you have placed your faith in Jesus and have not taken the next step of obedience by being baptized, talk to Bob Leih or one of the other Elders.
Reading Glasses for Ecuador
Barbara Maring and her team will be headed for Ecuador again this summer. A need they notice each year is reading glasses for people who do not have the finances &/or resources to acquire them. If you have an extra pair of reading glasses (non-prescription) of 1, 1.25, and 1.50 strength that you would like to donate (and possibly a case for them), please bring them to church or the church office. You will find a basket on the back table in the sanctuary where you can put them. They will be a wonderful blessing to the people of Ecuador. Thank you!
Enlarging God’s Kingdom

First Nations Bible
Plan to have the Pentaque (the first five books of the Bible) plus Joshua done and published by June 2027. The Ohlsons have completed their reviews and comments on Genesis and Exodus. Terry Wildman (who leads the project has completed drafts of Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.) The counsel seeks to be Spirit-led in translating from the original Hebrew to the First Nations Translation and has been open to suggestions relating to accuracy and phrasing of specific passages.
Dave Ohlson has been consistently active in their local church for many years. Now that Jon, Amy, and their family are back in the USA, he has decided to step back from church duties and focus on time with family.
We thank God for their faithfulness over the decades with Wycliffe and now with the First Nations Bible translation team. We pray for health and longevity in this older season of life and pray for many opportunities to spend time with family.
